Starkey Hearing Aids
Founded in the 1960s, Starkey Hearing Technologies is the only American hearing aid brand in the global market today. Since their early years, Starkey has combined innovation with customer-driven care. In 1971, Starkey introduced the first custom in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid and in 1973, they created the Worry-Free Warranty and a 30-day free trial for customers to test drive their hearing aids. Starkey made a splash on the national scene when President Ronald Reagan was fitted for a pair of hearing aids in 1983. In recent years, Starkey has received accolades for ground-breaking new technology, particularly with the release of one of the world’s first Made for iPhone hearing aids.
Halo iQ: Made for iPhone Technology
Available in two styles (receiver-in-canal and behind-the-ear), Starkey’s Halo Made for iPhone technology allows wearers to stream phone calls, music, and other media directly from their iPhones to their hearing aids. Starkey has received a number of awards for their Halo Made for iPhone hearing aid: a silver 2015 Edison Award, a silver 2017 Edison Award, and the 2017 SXSW Interactive Innovation Award, to name a few. The Halo iQ is the third generation of this illustrious line of hearing aids, built with advanced technology and user compatibility.
Through its connection with your iPhone, Halo iQ provides wearers with an intuitive and seamless listening experience using GPS geo-tagging. When you make adjustments to your hearing aids in a location, these preferences are geo-tagged and automatically adjusted when you return in the future. Wearers may make adjustments to their listening experience to features such as SoundSpace and Noise Manager in the TruLink app. Starkey’s TruLink app is easy-to-use and makes adjustments to your listening experience convenient and discreet.
In terms of listening features, Halo iQ offers improved speech audibility in difficult listening situations, tinnitus therapy, feedback cancellation, and improved music listening – and much more.
Powered by the iQ platform, Muse iQ is Starkey’s newest hearing aids, with improved technologies to enable wearers to truly feel immersed in the present moment. These wireless hearing aids are available in the following styles: completely-in-canal, in-the-canal, in-the-ear, receiver-in-canal, and behind-the-ear. With the Acuity Immersion Directionality feature, Muse iQ provides wearers with immediate access to speech and environmental sounds in difficult listening situations. As a wireless hearing aid, Muse iQ connects through SurfLink Mobile 2 or SurfLink Mini Mobile to your smartphone, TV, and other devices, which allows you to stream phone calls, music, and other audio directly to your ears.
Muse iQ is packed with Starkey’s most advanced features, providing wearers with a comfortable and personalized listening experience: gradual adjustments, distortion-free listening in noise, feedback cancellation, high-definition music, and clarity for soft sounds. Additionally, Muse iQ is built to last with Surface NanoShield coating, which prevents moisture and debris from infiltrating the device. For people who experience tinnitus, Muse iQ provides relief with Starkey’s Advanced Multiflex Tinnitus Technology (fully customizable sound therapy).
Muse iQ is available as a rechargeable hearing aid, which eliminates the hassle of buying and replacing hearing aid batteries. Starkey’s rechargeable hearing aids last 20% longer than other systems, are 30% smaller, and 100% easier to use. The Muse iQ rechargeable hearing aid is powered by lithium-ion battery technology, which delivers 30 hours of listening on a single charge, using the all-in-one Starkey recharging unit. For those who do not want to make the complete switch to rechargeable hearing aids, Muse iQ is also compatible with the ZPower system, which also cuts down on disposable batteries.
